Upaya Peningkatan Pengetahuan Pasien Gagal Ginjal Kronik tentang Manajemen Rasa Haus dengan Sipping Ice Cubes

In Indonesia, CKD is included in ten big disease No infectious with number ongoing events increased, from 0.2% in 2013 to 0.38 % in 2018. Province Java In the middle of occupying order third with amount patient new fail kidney Chronic Kidney Disease patients undergoing hemodialysis were 7,906 patients in 2018. Based on the record data Regional General Hospital medical RA. Kartini Jepara , number CKD patients in 2024 were recorded as many as 2,603 patients. CKD patients who underwent therapy hemodialysis sued for comply various restrictions, including diet management, consumption medicine, activity everyday, as well as restrictions intake liquid. Restrictions fluid which strict often cause effect side in the form of thirst excessive, mouth dry consequence decline saliva production. Research show that more from half patient hemodialysis ( 77.36%) experienced thirst with level severity moderate. Some study mention that sucking more ice cubes effective in reduce thirst compared to gargle or chew candy rubber. Devotion public this, aims give education management thirsty with sipping ice cubes in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis. PkM results this show obtained knowledge CKD patients after given information related with the material provided, namely there is increase level knowledge good to be (73.9%), knowledge moderate (13.04%), and knowledge less (13.04%).
