Gambaran Perilaku Agresi Remaja di Desa Baumata Tahun 2025

Abstract

This study examines the patterns of aggressive behavior among adolescents in Baumata Village, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. Adolescence is a crucial developmental stage characterized by emotional changes and identity formation, which may involve behavioral challenges such as aggression. Aggressive behavior refers to intentional physical or verbal actions aimed at harming others and is influenced by internal and external factors, including emotional regulation, peer relationships, and environmental conditions. This research used a descriptive quantitative method with the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire (BPAQ) to measure four dimensions of aggression: physical aggression, verbal aggression, anger, and hostility. The study involved 30 adolescents aged 15–24 years selected through purposive sampling. The results showed that 70% of participants had moderate levels of aggression. Anger was the most dominant dimension, with 76.7% of respondents classified at a moderate level, followed by verbal aggression (66.7%), hostility (50%), and physical aggression (46.7%). These findings indicate that adolescents generally do not show extreme aggression but experience emotional instability that may contribute to interpersonal conflicts. The study emphasizes the importance of emotional regulation programs and social skills training to support healthier adolescent development and prevent aggressive behavior.
