Pengaruh Pendamping Kader Posyandu terhadap Kepatuhan ANC Ibu Hamil Puskesmas Kalumata

Antenatal care (ANC) is a crucial effort in maintaining the health of mothers and fetuses through the early detection of pregnancy complications. However, pregnant women’s adherence to ANC visits according to standards remains a challenge, necessitating support from various parties, including Posyandu volunteers. This study aims to analyze the effect of Posyandu cadres’ support on ANC visit adherence among pregnant women at the Kalumata Community Health Center. The study employed a quantitative pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 60 pregnant women selected using total sampling. Data were collected through structured interviews, observation sheets, and reviews of the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Booklets and medical records, then analyzed using the Spearman Rho test with a 95% significance level. The results showed that most respondents received support from volunteers three times (45.0%) and the majority had attended two ANC visits (46.7%). Statistical analysis revealed a significant association between support from Posyandu volunteers and adherence to ANC visits (p=0.000), with a moderate, positive correlation (r=0.508). These findings suggest that increasing the frequency of volunteer support contributes to improved compliance among pregnant women in utilizing ANC services. Support from Posyandu volunteers can serve as an effective community-empowerment-based strategy to increase the coverage of antenatal care and support efforts to reduce maternal and infant morbidity and mortality.
