Abstract

Caesarean section is a delivery procedure through surgery that requires a recovery process after childbirth. Mobilization is an important aspect in the recovery of mothers after caesarean section because it can help improve blood circulation, reduce body stiffness, speed up recovery, and support maternal independence in caring for the baby. This study aims to determine the relationship between caesarean section type and mobilization at RSUD Bumi Panua. This study used a quantitative analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 55 respondents selected using purposive sampling technique. Caesarean section type was categorized into elective and emergency caesarean section, while mobilization was categorized into good and poor. Data were collected using observation sheets and questionnaires, then analyzed using the Chi-Square test with SPSS. The results showed that most respondents underwent elective caesarean section as many as 32 respondents (58.2%) and had good mobilization as many as 37 respondents (67.3%). The Chi-Square test results showed a p-value of 0.001. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between caesarean section type and mobilization at RSUD Bumi Panua.
